Kelly Richter, MD, became a Staff Physician the Cleveland Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2003. She sees patients at the Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health & Surgery Center.
Before coming to Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Richter was Assistant Professor, Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine, and she was a team physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Additionally, she has served as team physician for Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, and she has a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine.
Dr. Richter is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Richter's specialty interests include pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine.

Dr. Richter is by far one of the best medical practitioners I've ever seen in 69 years. She spent more than adequate time with me, wasn't rushed, made eye-contact instead of only looking at the computer screen, was thorough about asking me questions about my symptoms, listened and heard what I was saying, and followed up with a phone call when I had another questions after the appointment. She was creative with coming up with solutions to my problems.

Dr. Richter is the most empathetic doctor I have ever met. She is extremely patient and takes her time to decide what plan might be best for you, but with your input. She takes into consideration that the patient knows their body and illnesses and she listens. Dr. Richter has helped me so much so that I'm out of pain and able to walk. I've only had two visits, last one being an emergency, and I truly wish all of my doctors and specialists could have her personality, empathy, understanding and knowledge.
