Biography

About Jason Jerry, MD

Jason M. Jerry, MD, FAPA, FASAM maintains an active practice as an addiction psychiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic’s Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center.  Dr. Jerry is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine where he has been very active in medical student and resident education. He has practiced in the field of addictions for over twelve years and previously served as the Corporate Medical Director of one of the largest privately owned addiction treatment centers in Florida. He maintains a very active addiction medicine practice where he is involved in inpatient detoxification, the oversight of an intensive outpatient program, and outpatient work with a wide variety of patients including professional athletes. He has been interviewed by several national media groups about addiction-related issues including ABC, NBC, Yahoo News, Good Morning America, The New York Times, Time Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Winfrey. He has authored several articles related to addictions and psychiatric treatment and lectures on a wide array of topics related to substance use disorders. He currently serves as serve as the Chair of the Treatment Subcommittee for the U.S. Attorney’s Heroin and Opioid Action Plan working group, he is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association’s Focused Task Force on State Legislation, and he serves as Chair of the Addiction and Pain Committee for the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association. Dr. Jerry is married and has three young children.
