Cleveland Clinic Sports Health offers various seminars and clinics including courses for physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers, student athletic trainer camps and coaches clinics. Below are the upcoming courses and events that Cleveland Clinic Sports Health is currently offering.


2012 Sports Health Pupil Activity Validation (PAV) Coaches' Clinics

Cleveland Clinic Sports Health is hosting Pupil Activity Validation courses for coaches of youth programs at the elementary, middle and high school level and recreation leagues.  Parent coaches are not required to have Pupil Activity Validation, but encouraged to attend.

Coaches will learn the proper way to address life threatening and non-life threatening injuries or health concerns basic injury management and prevention strategies. The clinics will also cover a variety of other health and safety topics that can arise when supervising and working with student athletes.

  • Recognize the signs of common injuries/health concerns, including: environmental safety, life threatening and non-life threatening injuries and health concerns

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Space is limited.

Registration Fee:

All Classes are $20.00. Payment will be collected at the door during check-in, cash or check accepted. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the start time of class.

Cleveland Clinic Sports Health is an approved provider of the Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Programs.

These clinics fulfill the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and Ohio High School Athletic Association requirements for Pupil Activity Validation.

Continuing Education

Cleveland Clinic Sports Health offers a variety of continuing education opportunities for physicians, physical therapists, and certified athletic trainers on a diverse selection of sports medicine topics.

“The Foot and Ankle” series is a set of 4 educational courses which will focus on various foot & ankle issues & their management. Presentations will be given by Cleveland Clinic Sports Health physicians, physical therapists; and athletic trainers.

CEUs Awarded:

Cleveland Clinic Sports Health is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. Each mini series course has been approved by the NATABOC for 2.0 CEUs per mini course (#P410) and has been approved by the OPTA for for 2.0 CEUs per mini course.

The content of this seminar will highlight how to manage the total adolescent athlete through providing the most up to date information regarding prevention, recognition and treatment of adolescent athletic injuries and conditions. Information will be presented by leading sports medicine team physicians and certified athletic trainers from Cleveland Clinic Sports Health. This course is intended for attendance by certified athletic trainers.

CEUs Awarded: 7.75
