The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Training Program at Cleveland Clinic provides trainees with world-class training, the skills to care for patients with complex, diverse critical illnesses, and to become leaders in the field of critical care medicine.
Our ACGME-accredited fellowship program in critical care medicine offers two tracks:
- A two-year training program for those who have completed a three-year, accredited internal medicine residency
- A one-year training program for highly qualified individuals who have completed a two-year training program in an accredited ABIM subspecialty of internal medicine
Taught by our highly experienced faculty, fellows will learn how to identify, diagnose, and manage medical and surgical problems in intensive care patients through a carefully designed curriculum and during rotations. Additionally, trainees will study how to recognize and handle bioethical and emotional issues that patients with serious illnesses and their families may encounter.
Fellows also are expected to complete research projects and attend several conferences and workshops covering an assortment of critical care medical topics.
