Applicants must be in the process of completing an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency program in Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, or Surgery to be eligible to apply for fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Applicants interested in beginning training:
With the successful ACGME accreditation of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2009, the application process for candidates interested in beginning training will be conducted through ERAS. Applications will be accepted August 1st through the end of the interview season until all positions have filled. Hardcopy applications will also be accepted if submitted directly to the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program after closure of ERAS in May if slots for training have not filled.
The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program is NOT participating in the NRMP’s Main Match for the 2015/2016 academic year although there is a task force through the AAHPM engaged in advancing to the next steps of entering into the Match beginning in 2015 for candidates interested in beginning training for the July 2016 start date. Until that time, positions will continue to be offered to candidates on a rolling interview cycle. Once all positions have been filled, we will no longer interview additional candidates.
For additional information or to request a hard copy application, please contact Lynn Mulgrew, Program Coordinator by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Fellowship Office at 216-445-0624.
