Inpatient Rehabilitation

Cleveland Clinic manages 55 Acute Rehabilitation Beds in Northeast Ohio.

Acute Rehabilitation Units at the Cleveland Clinic hospitals of Euclid, Lakewood, Lutheran and Fairview provide care for patients whose condition calls for intensive and concentrated medical intervention and therapies.

The multidisciplinary team includes Physiatrists (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians), nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and recreational therapists.  This team works together with the patients and families to maximize independence and assist with transition back to home and community.

Inpatient care programs include:

  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Stroke rehabilitation
  • Spinal cord rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Cancer rehabilitation
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation
  • Pediatric rehabilitation

In addition to their work with Acute Rehabilitation Units, Cleveland Clinic Physiatrists offer patient consultation at Cleveland Clinic Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to meet the rehabilitation needs of patients in this setting.

Cleveland Clinic has a SNF located on its main campus adjacent to the main hospital.
