Choosing where to deliver your baby is one of the most important yet personal decisions you will make during your pregnancy. You want the best possible care for yourself, your partner and your baby, but you also want to be treated by a warm, caring staff in a comfortable, nurturing environment.
Cleveland Clinic offers three tiers of obstetrical care, giving women a range of options when choosing the care most appropriate to each pregnancy:
- Midwives are available to provide care for low-risk patients. They lend a sense of compassion, mutual respect and companionship to the birthing experience. They encourage parents to participate actively in all aspects of their care.
- OB/GYN physicians provide comprehensive traditional low- to medium-risk obstetrical services.
- Women with high-risk pregnancies benefit from the cutting-edge care offered by our maternal-fetal medicine specialists, medical geneticists, and neonatologists.
Cleveland Clinic offers comprehensive, caring birthing services at two convenient locations: Hillcrest Hospital, located in Mayfield Heights, and Fairview Hospital, located on the west side of Cleveland.
Our birthing centers are dedicated to exceeding your expectations. Rooms are attractively decorated and feature amenities like low lighting, lounge chairs and birthing balls to help women be as comfortable as possible while laboring. In addition, every room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to monitor and treat any problems that may arise during labor. Our birthing services cover every need you, your baby and your family may have.
Other Cleveland Clinic hospitals, Lakewood Hospital and Medina Hospital, offer family-centered maternity care from Cleveland Clinic physicians and midwives and community physician/midwife partners who are on staff at our hospitals.
