Linda Bradley, MD recognized by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for community service with Celebrate Sisterhood Program
Linda Bradley, MD will be recognized by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for her work with the Celebrate Sisterhood program. The Committee on Honors and Recognitions has selected her as the prestigious winner of the 2014 ACOG Pete and Weesie Hollis Community Service Award. Dr. Bradley founded Celebrate Sisterhood, a program dedicated to educating, energizing and empowering women of color to embrace self-care. This is Dr. Bradley’s tenth year of being involved with a community program for women of color.
Announcing Be Well Moms, an innovative program takes a proactive approach to the problem of maternal obesity — and ultimately, childhood obesity. The goal is to improve pregnancy outcomes through medically monitored weight management and nutritional guidance during the preconceptual, pregnancy and post-partum stages. Our goal is to educate and empower you to:
- Reach a healthy weight before pregnancy
- Gain the right amount of weight during pregnancy
- Shed the weight you gained during pregnancy after delivery
While many hospitals have units that cater to at-risk infants, the Special Delivery Unit at Cleveland Clinic's main campus is the first unit of its kind built to accommodate pregnant women in extremely critical condition as well as their newborns.
