This two-day conference is directed to staff nurses, advance practice nurses, nurse educators, nurse leaders, and academic nurses who want to be more involved or educated in nursing research and evidence-based practices. There are 3 pre-conference 4-hour workshops (separate cost) on creating abstracts/posters, writing a research publication and getting grant funding. The conference includes break-out sessions designed to help you enhance knowledge in specific areas and completed research oral and poster presentations. You will have opportunities to meet with and discuss research with principal investigators.

Topics center on themes that are important to enhancing nursing research and evidence-based nursing practices; for example: statistics in research, critiquing research publications for their quality, research ethics, as well as understanding tables and figures, avoiding sampling bias, and quantitative vs. qualitative data collection.

National and local nurse experts in the field will sharetheir expertise. We expect many nurses who are decision makers (nurse managers, clinicaleducators, clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, clinical directors and university-based academic nurses) to attend.

Last year, attendance was 280 nurses.
