Anesthesiology Institute
Wolf Stapelfeldt, MD, has recently joined the Anesthesia Institute and the Department of General Anesthesiology.
Dr. Stapelfeldt joins us from Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and most recently the University of Florida-College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Fla., where he was the former Chairman. Born and educated in Germany, he completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
While he has many interests, his most significant work includes medical informatics and anesthesia for liver transplantation; basic science and clinical research, including federal grant supported investigations; and resident/medical student education. He has extensive publications in both national and international medical journals, has authored numerous book chapters, and has been invited speaker at multiple conferences.
