On Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, construction for the Euclid Corridor Transportation Project – which will connect Cleveland’s central business district with the University Circle area, as well as cultural, medical and educational districts – will continue along Euclid Avenue through the center of Cleveland Clinic’s main campus.
Because of this, segments of Euclid Avenue between East 87th and East 107th streets will be limited to one-way travel, and from between East 89th and East 97th streets, vehicular traffic will be closed completely. These limitations are expected to last through the summer of 2008.
We are doing our best to prepare everyone who visits our campus – from patients and visitors, to our employees – for this change. You can access an updated map of main campus by visiting our " Maps and Directions " page. This page also contains updated directions to our campus from all major highways.
Until the Euclid Corridor project is complete, it is best to avoid Euclid Avenue. As alternate entry points to Cleveland Clinic, we recommend that you use Chester Avenue, which borders the north side of campus, and Carnegie Avenue, which runs along the south side – both of which run parallel to Euclid. Detailed recommendations on when to use Chester Avenue and when to use Carnegie are included in the directions to campus.
We will continue to provide updates on this construction project as they become available to us. Cleveland Clinic also maintains an automated directions line, which you can access by calling 216.444.9500.
