The Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis primarily serves to help diagnosis, treat, and manage the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. A large majority of the patients we care for have MS. However we also see patients with other related neuroimmunological syndromes such as Devic’s disease, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, and transverse myelitis, among others. Our aim is to provide comprehensive care for people with multiple sclerosis. We have extended the same types of care to others with closely related disorders. With the help of the pediatric neurology department we recently started a pediatric multiple sclerosis program.
