Stroke Survivors Exercise Program»
Offered at Lakewood Hospital for a low monthly fee, this program helps people maintain their functional abilities once physical and occupational therapy have stopped.
Features exercises to:
- Strengthen arms, legs and trunk
- Help with walking and balance
- Enhance speech and cognitive activities
- Improve overall conditioning
Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Program»
Offered at the Lakewood YMCA and Westlake Medical Campus, this program will help you improve your pelvic floor muscle function through:
- Myofascial release
- Therapeutic exercise and stretches
- Biofeedback
- Techniques to improve the motor control and functional use of this muscle group to eliminate incontinence, urgency or pelvic pain
Massage Therapy»
Given by a certified massage therapist, massages are not only great preventive medicine, they provide a total wellness approach to relieve stress, improve circulation and enhance energy levels. Offered at Lakewood Hospital and Lakewood YMCA. Private pay only. Appointments required.
Aquatic Therapy»
This program is offered at the Lakewood YMCA and utilizes the age-old therapeutic powers of water to assist those with:
