Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds now are available via video stream for our colleagues at Cleveland Clinic Family Health Centers.
(Please note: CME credit will only be provided to those who attend the live presentation.)
Please note the following procedure for evaluation and CME credits for attendees of 2011-2012 Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds:
- Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds are held most Fridays during the academic year (September 2012 through June 2013). Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds are held 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. in Bunts Auditorium at Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Avenue, unless otherwise noted.
- Cleveland Clinic's Center for Continuing Education has in place an electronic registration system for Cleveland Clinic. All Cleveland Clinic Grand Rounds are using this system. You can access your account to see what CME tests you have taken, see the number of credits you have earned, and print out CME certificates from all tests you have taken. Please login via the following link is: http://www.clevelandclinicmeded.com/mycme/mylogin.asp
- Passwords/emails: If you haven't already done so, you will need to create a password for yourself. You will use this number as a PIN each time you log in for subsequent Grand Rounds sessions (whether it be for Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds or any other CC Department/Division using the on-line registration system). Please remember your password. Passwords/emails can be changed after logging in by clicking on the ‘edit profile’ button.
- To claim credits (live events): Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and enter the event code in the box 'Regularly Scheduled Series/Live events'. The event code (sometimes referred to as the course ID) is found in the literature provided for you to register for the activity. You will be taken to a new screen where you enter the credits you are claiming and answer the questions, then you will be able to print the certificate. If the screen field is 'grey' where you would enter your credits, then it is not a course that you can claim credit online. You would have to receive a paper copy.
- To print a certificate: Please ensure that you have claimed credit online previously for the certificate that you are wanting to print. Then log into ‘My CME’ using the link above. Once logged in, click on the ‘participation date’ next to the title of the activity that you are wanting to print a certificate for. The certificate will then be displayed onscreen for you to print or save on your computer.
- Each week, a code to access the system will be provided with the handout material. The codes are active from 8:00 a.m. each Friday to 30 days following the meeting. Attendees will only be able to receive CME credit by logging into the system during that time period.
- All attendees for Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds are encouraged to use the on-line system whether or not you are in need of obtaining CME credits. This system will allow us to track attendance to use for planning purposes of future Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Rounds. Be sure to print your CME certificate and keep for your files.
- If you or if you know of someone who would like to be on the e-mail list to receive weekly reminders and updates (should there be a last minute change in the schedule), please contact Laura Reinhard - 216.445.9478.
