Shared Medical Appointments Now Offered through Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation Program
Cleveland Clinic’s Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation Program now offers an alternative to the traditional office visit. Shared medical appointments (SMAs) allow you to see a dietician and a nurse practitioner during the same visit. Appointments include a small group of six to eight patients with similar health concerns. Benefits of SMAs include:
- Personalized dietary counseling
- Group interaction and support
- Access to medical and dietary information during the same visit
- Informative health care delivery in a warm, supportive setting
- Greater attention to the mind/body aspects of your health
- Opportunity to share experiences, successes, and challenges with peers
All patients receive an initial evaluation by one of our staff physicians. If you would like to schedule an SMA for your follow-up appointment, please call 216.444.9353 or 800.223.2273, ext. 49353. Patients who schedule SMAs may schedule individual appointments with their health care providers as they desire.
