Dr. Cosgrove with a patient after surgery.

Cardiothoracic surgeon Delos M. Cosgrove, M.D., develops a computerized device that monitors a patient's condition during recovery from heart surgery and automatically administers drugs as they are needed. Designed to treat the drastic changes in blood pressure that often occur after cardiac surgery, this new device reduces post-surgical complications.
