World-Class Patient Care

Taussig Cancer Institute recognized for excellence

Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Institute brings multiple specialties together to provide collaborative, patient-centered care. More than 250 cancer specialists annually serve 26,000 cancer patients, applying the most effective techniques to achieve long-term survival and improved quality of life. In the past 12 months, the Taussig Cancer Institute received the following recognitions for its excellent patient care.

  • In March and April respectively, Medical Economics and Urology Times magazines recognized Cleveland Clinic as a “Clinical Center of Excellence in Prostate Cancer.” Cleveland Clinic was one of only 13 hospitals in the country to “rise above the pack” and receive this distinction. The magazines selected “the prostate cancer programs that are among the finest in the country” to be noted as Centers of Excellence based on information received from key opinion leaders in various specialties, through physician surveys and self-reported data from each hospital.
  • In February of this year, Hospital Review magazine named Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute as the No. 1 oncology program on its list of “11 Hospitals with Great Oncology Programs.”
  • In the 2008 U.S.News & World Report “Best Hospitals” survey, which came out last summer, Taussig Cancer Institute was named the top cancer program in Ohio, and one of the best in the nation.
