Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center Now Open
“Part of putting ‘Patients First’ is providing state-of-the art facilities in a convenient location,” says Cynthia Deyling, MD, Chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Regional Operations, about the new Twinsburg Family Health & Surgery Center located on Route 91 just south of I-480.
“We see the center as a one-stop-shop for patients’ medical needs,” continued Dr. Deyling. “Our patients can see a primary care physician or specialist, come to the Emergency Department when needed or pick up a prescription at our on-site pharmacy.”
The Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center is Cleveland Clinic’s first family health center with a 24-hour emergency department and helipad. More than 35 different types of specialty care are offered at the center, including everything from allergy specialists to vascular surgeons.
Throughout the planning and construction of the facility, Cleveland Clinic worked closely with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers to preserve the natural habitat on its grounds. More than 37 acres of the 86-acre site are protected.
Cleveland Clinic is applying for LEED certification for the Twinsburg center because of its environmentally-friendly features, such as low-flow plumbing fixtures and sensors to turn off faucets and lights when they are not being used, in addition to the wetlands preservation.
