Cancer Center Acquisition

North Coast Cancer Care Joins Cleveland Clinic Health System

“We are pleased to have North Coast Cancer Care join the Taussig Cancer Institute family,” says Brian J. Bolwell, MD, Chairman of Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Institute.

North Coast Cancer Care, a full-service cancer treatment center, is now a department within Taussig Cancer Institute, which is ranked in the top 10 nationally for cancer care by U.S.News and World Report.

“As the leading provider of cancer services in the region, we are pleased to be joining our efforts with the No. 1 cancer program in Ohio at Cleveland Clinic,” says Steven G. Roshon, MD, FACP, the former president of NCCC, who is serving as the department chair. “This partnership allows NCCC to continue to grow in quality and depth of services and to better serve the community.”

“By linking NCCC’s services with Cleveland Clinic, patients will have access to the latest clinical trials and an electronic medical record that will help bring coordinated, cutting-edge care close to home,” added Dr. Bolwell.

NCCC and its team of seven physicians has long served patients in Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca counties from three locations in Sandusky, Clyde and at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. Each location will continue to provide outpatient cancer services including consultations in hematology and oncology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, diagnostic services and patient support.
