Chopped Winner Supports Keep Memory Alive and Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health

Celebrity chef Scott Conant faced some serious heat in the kitchen to become the Season 3 Chopped All-Stars champion May 5 on the Food Network’s reality cooking show, winning the $50,000 grand prize for Keep Memory Alive.

“I’m proud to align myself with such a great organization like Keep Memory Alive,” Mr. Conant says. “And then on top of it, to be able to pull out the win and bring them a check for $50,000. It’s amazing when things all line up. I feel really blessed.”

Keep Memory Alive supports the efforts of Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which is dedicated to the conquest of Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, ALS and multiple sclerosis.

During the all-star finale of Chopped, four chefs competed to win money for their designated charities. Mr. Conant beat out celebrity chefs Laila Ali, Sunny Anderson from the Cooking Channel and Gavin Kaysen, winner of the 2008 James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef award.

The chef/restaurant owner earned his spot in the all-star finale by winning the Chopped Judges episode. His top-rated restaurant, Scarpetta, has locations in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, New York, Toronto and Miami.
