Biographical Sketch:

  • Dr. Factora received his medical degree from Ohio State University's College of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Montefiore Hospital and his geriatrics fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
  • He is a member of American Geriatrics Society and American College of Physicians.
  • His clinical practice and research focus on dementia and related illnesses, nutritional issues related to aging and the elderly, and the impact of multiple medications on older adults with multiple chronic conditions.
  • Currently, Dr. Factora is involved in educating future geriatricians: He is revising the geriatric rotation for the internal medicine residency program and working closely with Dr. Messinger-Rapport, Director of the Cleveland Clinic-Summa Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, to improve the educational and clinical experience of residents and fellows.
  • In his spare time Dr. Factora enjoys travel, classical piano and racquet ball.
