Biographical Sketch:
- Dr. Messinger-Rapport graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. She was discharged from the Air Force as a major in 1995. She completed her geriatrics fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. In addition, she has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
- She divides her time between clinical care, teaching and research. Her clinical practice and research focus on the aging brain, cardiovascular disease in frail elders, end-of-life issues and older women's health.
- She was President of the Ohio Geriatrics Society (2006) and Program Director for Cleveland Clinic's Geriatric Fellowship Program.
- In her spare time, Dr. Messinger-Rapport volunteers with various medical organizations and enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing, music and reading.
