Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery

Physicians from multiple disciplines collaborate to provide the best possible treatment options and outcomes for patients with conditions affecting hands, wrists and arms.

About Us

The Section of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida provides a multidisciplinary approach for the comprehensive care of individuals with injuries and/or disorders of the hand, wrist, and upper arm.

The Section of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery performs over 500 procedures per year, the majority of which are performed in a dedicated outpatient surgery center that is directly attached to the main clinic building, providing a pleasant operative experience in a setting that is both safe and convenient.

Working in close collaboration with the Departments of Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurology, Rheumatology, and Physical and Occupational Therapy, we provide evaluation, treatment and rehabilitative care for a wide variety of injuries and disorders, such as arthritis, tumors, fractures and vascular concerns. Our goal is to help individuals return to pain free, functional lives.

Our hand surgery unit is self contained and includes onsite x-ray and hand therapy to maximize results and minimize inconvenience. State of the art digital radiology, live videofluoroscopy, CT and MRI scanning, as well as a fully integrated electronic medical record, allow for streamlined and efficient care. Post-op visits are coordinated with the surgeon and therapist, as well as the entire medical support team.
