Colon Cancer Prevention Tip of the Day
Yoga helps digestion! With stress management/yoga therapy it’s all about remembering to take 3 deep breaths before you eat. When you are stressed your digestive system shuts down and food does not have a chance to properly digest. To aid your digestion, take 3 deep breaths before you eat, and eat slowly and consciously.
Yoga postures that can help the digestive system include the forward fold, reclined knee to chest position, and spinal twists. All should be done with little or no food in your system.
