To help prevent the spread of the seasonal flu and H1N1, Cleveland Clinic Florida is limiting hospital visitation to adults 19 and older. Please do not bring visitors under the age of 19 to visit patients at Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Cleveland Clinic Florida is limiting visitation to adults because of the increase on H1N1 in schools, limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine and people carrying H1N1 before symptoms actually appear.
In addition, visitors 19 and older should only come to the hospital if they are healthy (no fever, runny nose or cough in the past 24 hours). Although we understand these visiting limitations may be inconvenient, they will help prevent the spread of the flu to our patients, visitors and employees in this unique flu season.
Please note that the visitation limitation does not apply to anyone younger than 19 who needs medical attention or comes to the hospital for an appointment. As well, our Emergency Department is open to serve all children.
Visiting limitations include all Cleveland Clinic Florida hospital areas. For more information on flu season, please visit http://www.cdc.gov/.
