Cleveland Clinic in Florida announces the addition of Lester Rosen, M.D., a board-certified colorectal surgeon, and board-certified urologist William Gans, M.D., to its team of specialists based in West Palm Beach at the Cleveland Clinic Florida Health and Wellness Center. Dr. Rosen specializes in the treatment of hemorrhoids, fecal incontinence, colitis, Crohn’s Disease, and colorectal cancer. Dr. Gans’ practice focuses on urologic oncology, prostate disorders, urinary incontinence and kidney stones.

A colorectal surgeon with nearly a quarter century of experience, Dr. Rosen spent most of his career in private practice with the Colorectal Surgery Specialty Group in Allentown, Penn. Most recently, he also served as chief of staff at Westfield Hospital in Allentown. Dr. Rosen is a dedicated medical educator having spent the past 12 years as a professor of clinical surgery at Pennsylvania State University’s Hershey Medical Center. He continues to serve as a senior board examiner for the American Board of Colorectal Surgery, a position he’s held for the past 15 years. Dr. Rosen was president of the American Colon and Rectal Surgeons in 2006-2007.
Dr. Rosen received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY, and his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed his internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and his surgical residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Rosen went on to complete his colorectal surgery residency at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
Dr. Gans was previously in private practice with Urologic Specialists, P.A., in Lake Worth, Fla. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY, and his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Gans went on to complete a urology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urologic Association.
