Allergy/Immunology
Allergy specialists offer comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for both adults and children. Although the most effective treatment for allergies is eliminating or decreasing exposure to the allergen, medications, such as long-acting antihistamines, may be helpful. In some cases, allergy shots or allergen vaccines may be necessary to bring symptoms under control.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation program focused on rehabilitating and educating those diagnosed with cardiovascular disease as well as those at risk for developing the disease. Restoring the individual’s physical functioning abilities is usually the initial goal (especially after surgery), however the long term objectives focus on education and behavior modification aimed at reducing the risk of disease progression and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Hospitalist
Hospitalist is a new kind of specialist who is making life easier for both patients and doctors. For years, physicians have scrambled between seeing their patients in the office and following them in the hospital. Now, the hospitalist follows patients during their hospital stay, returning them to their primary physician’s care after discharge. This makes medical care more efficient. Inpatients have someone to address their immediate, ongoing needs while they are in the hospital. Outpatients needn’t worry about office visits being delayed or rescheduled when their primary care physician has to go back and forth to the hospital to check on patients
