"The Center for Personalized Healthcare is committed to create evidence-based personalized health plans for our patients by incorporating new technologies and innovations which allow us to truly target each individual," said Dr. Teng. "There is a greater emphasis on the physician-patient relationship as we team together to develop more accurate and personalized care plans. Our ultimate goal is to empower our patients and mobilize our community towards greater health. We are aiming to create a cultural shift in the way we practice medicine, moving from a reactive, trial-and-error approach to a proactive, targeted approach.
"Cleveland Clinic has been an active participant in the healthcare reform movement. As we move forward as a nation with the goal of improving the health and well-being of our citizens, Cleveland Clinic has embraced its responsibility to find novel ways to better predict and prevent disease and ultimately improve the quality and value of healthcare delivery. At the same time, we recognize that patients need to be active participants in their care plans. We need engage our patients and empower them to better their health and well-being. The Center for Personalized Healthcare aims to integrate these efforts. Only when we work together as a team of caregivers and patients can we achieve our goal of improving the quality of life and health for our community and our nation."
