Leaders in Research, Innovation and Outcomes

Cleveland Clinic’s pediatric heart surgeons and cardiologists, supported by pediatric cardiac nurses, anesthesiologists, child life specialists and allied health professionals, are among the most highly trained and experienced in the world. Our Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease serves as leader in innovation and a worldwide referral and second opinion center for patients of all ages with congenital heart disease.

Our staff manages all forms of heart disease in children and our success rates, including those for diagnosing, treating and repairing heart defects in newborns, are excellent. Our complication and mortality rates are among the lowest of any hospital.

The specialists in the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center can diagnose heart disease in children and determine management strategies even before they are born. Complicated and high-risk pregnancies are expertly managed within our Level III perinatal center, and critically ill newborns receive the highest level of care available in our Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
