Department of Community Pediatrics Welcomes New Pediatricians
Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital welcomes 12 new pediatricians to our Department of Community Pediatrics, where a total of 41 pediatricians see patients at 11 locations across Northeast Ohio, including: Beachwood, Chesterland, Hillcrest, Independence, Marymount, Solon and Willoughby Hills. Children’s Hospital plans to offer pediatric services in Twinsburg and Medina in the coming year.
We welcome our new pediatricians at the following locations:
- Chesterland: Thomas Phelps, MD, Daniela Isakov, MD, and Debra Koepfer, MS, PA-C
- Fairview Park: Jon Abrahamson, MD, and Vijaya Achanti, MD
- Hillcrest Hospital: Shakuntala Rao, MD, and Mona Rifka, MD
- Westlake: Deborah Ghazoul, MD, Suzanne Connolly, MD, Lee Ann Shollenberger, MD, Tracy Lim, MD and Allyson Talbert-May, CRNP
Community Pediatrics offers ambulatory and inpatient care, normal newborn nursery care, behavioral and developmental care, sports health care and care for obesity-related problems. Staff members collaborate on clinical research on asthma, the “medical home” and sports health with Case Western Reserve University and the Department of Family Medicine. They also teach and mentor residents and medical students, and provide clinical experiences for nurse practitioner students.
With access to leading-edge diagnostic and treatment resources, as well as a total commitment to family-centered care, our pediatric professionals are well-equipped to diagnose and treat common, everyday illnesses, as well as serious childhood diseases and conditions like cancer, diabetes and congenital heart disease. The addition of our new pediatricians from across the region expands Children’s Hospital services to provide our patients with the best in pediatric medicine on any side of town.
