Biographical Sketch

Craig H. Raskind, M.D., F.A.A.P., is currently a Staff Member with Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital Department of Neonatology. In addition, he holds appointments in the Division of Neonatology and in the Department of Pediatrics at Hillcrest Hospital and Medina Hospital— all which are part of the Cleveland Clinic Health Care System.
 
Dr. Raskind is board certified in both pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at Yeshiva College in New York and received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University in Bronx, New York. His post-graduate training includes a pediatric internship and residency through Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore and Jacobi Medical Centers in Bronx, New York, as well as a Neonatal/Perinatal medicine fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn.
 
Dr. Raskind is a member of several professional organizations, including the Ohio State Medical Association, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
 
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Raskind has held a number of teaching positions and has presented on topics such as Neonatal Conjunctivitis, Septicemia and Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, and Respiratory Diseases of the Newborn, among many others.
 
Dr. Raskind also is an established clinical researcher and has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as having contributed abstracts and presentations at professional association meetings.
 
His specialty interests include neonatal infectious disease, ventilatory/respiratory support modalities, intensive care of complex pre/postoperative neonatal problems and growth/nutritional issues.
