Biography
Mary Dimeo, RN(EC), MN, brings more than two decades of comprehensive nursing experience and care to our Executive Health Program in her role as Nurse Practitioner. As a Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Dimeo is able to order and interpret diagnostic tests, communicate diagnoses, prescribe medication and perform specific procedures to patients in her care.
Born in Montreal and raised in Vancouver, Ms. Dimeo completed her Diploma of Nursing at the Vancouver General Hospital School of Nursing. She later earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from McMaster University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and on the Dean’s Honour List. She completed her Masters of Nursing shortly thereafter from the University of Toronto’s Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
Ms. Dimeo has presented on a variety of occasions at Toronto Public Health, St. Michael’s Hospital, and at national conferences and is also published in the Journal of Emergency Nursing. She is an active committee member of the Canadian Nurses Association Emergency Nursing Exam Review Committee, and the College of Nurses of Ontario, Expert Content Advisor for the Nurse Practitioner Quality Assurance Program Exam.
Dedicated to the advancement of patient care, Ms. Dimeo is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and is a Clinical Preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students from the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, D’Youville College, and York University.
