Ilan Medad, MD, FRCPC

Biography

Ilan Medad, MD, FRCPC is a staff gastroenterologist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Dr. Medad is a is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada with Certification in Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Certification in Gastroenterology. Highly skilled and experienced in the practice of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy, Dr. Medad currently provides medical consultations to several assessment centres in Toronto. Dr. Medad is also active in multiple roles at Humber River Regional Hospital including Staff Gastroenterologist, Physician Director of Endoscopy and Gastroenterology, and Physician Advisor to the Temporary Interim Chief of Medicine.  He is also Medical Director of Gastroenterology Group, an outpatient clinic that offers gastroenterology consultation and endoscopy. 

Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Medad graduated with Distinction from the University of Western Ontario earning a Bachelor degree in Psychology. Dr. Medad completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto with Honours, receiving the Walter F. Watkins Scholarship. Pursuing his academic and clinical training further into internal medicine with a subspecialty residency in gastroenterology, Dr. Medad earned licenses in both medical areas from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada.

When Dr. Medad isn't practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, food and cooking, travel and sports such as tennis and baseball.
