Spring 2010 Newsletter
What an emotionally charged start to 2010! Weeks into the New Year we all faced the devastating news about Haiti and since then have watched the world come together to provide support. As a global healthcare provider, Cleveland Clinic felt it was extremely important to offer our help. In this newsletter, you can read about Dr. Tim Rindlisbacher’s experience as a medical volunteer in Haiti.
The world united again in Vancouver in February to celebrate the Winter Olympics. These Olympics, as usual, generated a roller coaster of emotions – tears of joy and defeat from the world’s top athletes. But we could not have expected a more glorious finish than that gold-medal goal by Sidney Crosby! Every day our Sports Health team helps people to achieve their peak performance, whether they are running their first 10K, moving up the rankings in their age category or competing as elite professionals on the national or international stage. In this newsletter, you can learn to improve your own performance by understanding how Olympians use nutrition to become the best they can be.
