During the month of October, Cleveland Clinic Canada is honoured to be hosting an art exhibition by two of our clients — Jack and Ina Gilbert — in support of Make-A-Wish® Canada. Please join us at our clinic for the official gallery opening on October 14 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. All proceeds from the sale of their art will go to Make-A-Wish Canada.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children living with life-threatening medical conditions in order to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Seeing a wish come true has a profound effect – not only on the child who has a life-threatening medical condition – but also on the child's family, volunteers and all the caring supporters who make the wish happen. In fact, medical evidence suggests the experience helps make ill children stronger — stronger to fight ongoing treatments.
“Make-A-Wish knows that our wish is to live and get better. They make us live by giving us something to live for. That is hope, and that's what they gave to me," said Jennifer, age 17.
