STAMPEDE (Surgical Therapy And Medications Potentially Eradicate Diabetes Efficiently) - The STAMPEDE trial is a randomized study that will compare the effectiveness of advanced medical therapy alone versus bariatric surgery and therapy combined, for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes during a 5 year study period.
