The Department of Outcomes Research coordinates and administers all clinical research activities within the Anesthesiology Institute. The center provides a structured, interactive environment to perform research that is both clinically relevant and fundamentally important.
The primary focus of the research is to determine clinical outcomes through rigorous comparison of technique. Led by its Chairman, Daniel Sessler, MD, the department is also responsible for facilitating clinical investigation by staff and research education for residents and fellows within the Institute.
