The Cleveland Clinic Pain Management Department was the first scheduled visit on Jerry Lewis's "Tame the Pain" tour that emphasized the advances in pain management technology though spinal cord stimulation. This event was covered nationally in many states through radio, TV and print.
The Decade of Pain Control and Research began January 1, 2001. The American Pain Society has spearheaded a multi-year task force to address four broad areas. Those four areas include research, professional awareness, public policy, and public awareness — aspects of pain management that Cleveland Clinic embraces.
